Supporting the Craniosacral Rhythm with Yoga | St. Gallen

Craniosacral therapy (CST) has similar benefits to yoga and can help release habitual tension in the body. Actually, CST and yoga complement each other in several ways: calming the central nervous system, boosting the immune system, and releasing the body’s habitual tension patterns.

Craniosacral therapy is powerful, because it enhances the movement of spinal fluid, which in turn improves the nutrition of the central nervous system — the brain and spinal cord — which rules most of what is going on in the body. ~John Upledger

In this workshop, we will tap into the subtle rhythm of movement between our skull and sacrum. Using SATYA (Somatic Awareness Training for Yoga Attunement, a school of somatic movement techniques developed by Tias Little, to provide new pathways of perception and feeling), asana, meditation, visualization, and breath as the means to better understand and connect to this mysterious and mystical part of our selves.
